Project Running Oct.15 – Nov.15
We will be getting together on November 22, at NBCC to sort the items donated for the survival packs. Anyone interested in helping us out by volunteering is asked to contact us at ffFelicia@thehumanityproject.ca
Project Winter Survival is back once again and we are more determined than ever to help whoever may need it during the frigid months that are coming. Last years experience was a true eye opener in regards to the dire straits that some people actually do face, especially in the winter months. As far as we’re concerned there isn’t much of a choice, we have to help. And like last year, we would love to have as much support as possible from the community.
We will be putting together survival kits/bags once again and that leaves us with a need for a lot of different items. Once again, we only ask those with the means to help- do so. Supporting, helping and fixing our community comes in many forms, many of which are much more subtle than money. If you can help monetarily or with material donations, that’s great but, it’s also pretty great if you’re “just” a generally nice human being who isn’t a jerk to his/her neighbour. That being said, we will be in need of funds to support the project, so if you are in a position to donate you can do so here – Project: Winter Survival Donations.
As I mentioned, we have a general idea of what we will be needing from last year. Below is a list of what we are looking for, any help is appreciated and not forgotten. The most basic thing we need aside from what’s listed below are BOOK BAGS. Thanks again!
